Space no issue in free online AI course

AI aficianados never had it so good! Looks like there’s no limit to the number of seats available for students to participate in Stanford’s first free online course on AI: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. So far, over 100,000 have signed up to to study for two-months with Stanford Professors Sebastian Thrun and Peter Norvig. The course begins October 10, but show a little ingenuity and you can reserve a space ahead of time in Michelle Marie’s Google+ Study Group Hangout. See you there!

"I’m on Facebook, It’s Over"

photo Author Curtis Sittenfeld (“Prep” and “American Wife”) reports that the impending demise of Facebook began at Aug. 4, around 8 p.m. Central time.

“It wasn’t because the Web site’s growth slowed this past spring and the number of users shrank in the United States,” he write in The New York Times Sunday Review.. “It wasn’t because of the advent of Google+. It was because I, the latest of late adopters, finally joined. My embrace of the site can only mean that it’s officially passé.”
